A WEEK of public hearings into allegations of child sexual abuse at Ealing Abbey and St Benedict’s School will be held from February 4-8 at the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse centre in London.
They will form part of the Roman Catholic Church’s English Benedictine Congregation case study.
Abbeys and schools related to the Congregation have been the subject of numerous allegations of child sexual abuse.
The hearing will examine how Ealing Abbey, St Benedict’s and other institutions, such as the police and the Crown Prosecution Service, responded to the allegations.

It starts at 10.30am each day, apart from 10am on Friday, at the IICSA hearing centre, 18 Pocock Street, London SE1 0BW. The timetable will be published on Thursday, January 31, on the IICSA website.

IICSA is also holding a week of public hearings in its Children Outside the UK investigation from February 11-15.
It will explore the measures in place to prevent people known to be a risk to children from travelling abroad.
The timetable for this hearing will be published on the website on Thursday, February 7.
