Tributes were paid to those who have lost their lives in conflict exactly 100 years after the guns fell silent in the First World War.
Mayor of Barnet Cllr Reuben Thompstone, attended the service of remembrance at the Hendon War Memorial to lay a wreath yesterday.
Also in attendance were councillors, ex-servicemen and women, Army Reserve personnel and cadets.
Cllr Thompstone said: “Remembrance Sunday gives us all an opportunity to take a moment of quiet reflection, and to acknowledge the tremendous debt of gratitude we owe those who have given their lives in two world wars, and in other more recent conflicts.
“Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
