CRIMESTOPPERS is today offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for causing the death in 2008 of Josie Mullaney by dangerous driving.

Mrs Mullaney, 73, was a passenger in a car that was in collision with three other vehicles at Ruislip Road, Northolt. She was taken to hospital but died from head injuries.

The crash occurred at 3.40pm on October 26, 2008 and involved a grey Toyota MR2. The driver has never been traced.

The Toyota, LS06GBU, failed to stop. It had been reported stolen from Bourne Close, Isleworth, a few days earlier and was subsequently abandoned in Woodstock Avenue, Southall. All the other drivers were identified and spoken to at the time.

Dave Hunter, head of operations at Crimestoppers, said: “A decade has passed since this tragic crash and the family of Josie Mullaney are still waiting for answers.

“Her husband, who survived the collision, has said he thinks about his wife every day and cannot understand how the person responsible can sleep at night, given the tragic consequences of their actions.

“His wife had just retired after nearly 40 years of working for British Airways when her life was curtailed.

“Images of the car seen leaving the scene have been released and, if you recognise the car and know who was driving, then please do the right thing and let us know.

“We guarantee you will stay 100% anonymous when you call 0800 555 111 or use our non-traceable online form.”
