FOUR policemen were cleared of using unnecessary and unreasonable force during an arrest at Northolt Underground station in March 2014.

The four answered allegations of misconduct at a hearing on Thursday.

It was alleged they assaulted a member of the public and arrested him without lawful cause.

It was claimed they hit the man with a baton, spraying him with CS spray, pushing him, holding him on the ground and handcuffing him.

The panel, led by an independent legally-qualified chair, concluded the allegations were not proven.
