A CHARITY music festival is being held at the Grosvenor pub, 127 Oaklands Road, Hanwell, on Sunday, October 14.

Running from midday to 10pm, it aims to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The organiser is Cara Williams, whose dad has MS, a chronic illness that affects the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.

“He is reliant on help from his family but is fiercely independent, as much as he can be,” said Cara.

“He drags himself around on all fours rather than give in to a wheelchair. It takes an hour or more for him to move 10 feet, but he keeps doing it. And he never complains.

“It breaks my heart, but he also inspires me to organise fun community events to raise awareness and money to help people who are living with or affected by MS in Ealing.”

This is Westival’s first year and Cara is appealing to the community to ensure it’s a success.  There will be 10 bands and 10 soloists.

Tickets are £10 and must be bought in advance on:
