Year 5 pupils at a Hillingdon school were given a chance to show off their literacy skills after receiving a visit from a special guest.
Councillor John Morgan, the Mayor of Hillingdon, dropped in on students at Colham Manor Primary School on June 20 and was shown all the results of hard work of students and staff to improve reading for children at the school.
Enthusiastic pupils talked the Mayor through Book Swap Corner, which was developed through the Enabling Enterprise programme.
The children have designed, modelled and redesigned part of the school library and have received book donations from Waterstones, School Library Services and local libraries.
