Murder inquiry launched

A MURDER inquiry has begun after the victim of a stabbing in Southall died.

Yasin Abdirahman was stabbed in the head on Monday, September 3.

At around 4.30pm today (Tuesday, September 11), Yasin, 22, died in hospital.

Yasin, a Somalian student, was attacked near his home in Navigator Drive, by a gang of between ten and 20 people.

Police believe Yasin was an innocent victim, and had no connection to any gangs or criminal activity.

Police are asking anyone who can help with the investigation to call the incident room on 0208 358 0200, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Very sad tragedy, but all of you must live in peace and obey the commands of the creator not to fight yourselfs or form any gang except the that of the believers. And establish regular prayers and do not chew quat or smoke any drugs.

This is such a shock for everyone, Yasin was a good guy. How can people commit such things? May you rest in peace and may God protect and comfort your family during this time of grief! It is indeed tragic and shocking to know that a young and promising man has lost his life to Cowardice Thugs. May God Bless Yasin Abdirahman's Soul and guide his family through this extremely heartbreaking period. I hope that all the residents on the Windmill Park Estate will unite and celebrate the life of Yasin at the Local Community Centre via poems, songs and meaningful speeches. Cherish the special memories shared. I believe that would be an appropriate gesture to Yasin, his Family and Close Friends. Life is too short and precious, and we must all realize that. Deepest Condolences to all Family and Friends of Yasin. Please remain Strong, Positive and United!

I think i can speak for everyone when i say we're still in a state of shock, our Lord has indeed tested us and reminded us that it He who we will return to, May Allah (SWT) have mercy on him and make it easy for him in the hearafter and in the grave. All we can do is pray for our brother in Islam. Yasin had a short lived life however touched so many people with his kindness, humour, modesty and heart. Insh'Allah lets never forget him and all our brothers and sisters in Islam regardless if they are alive or dead, it is time to realise that if we are privileged to be muslims and that Islam is a gift and not a burden. May Allah guide us all to the right path, Ameen! May Allah take the love of this duniya out of our hearts, Ameen. May Allah help us to help ourselves and win the ongoing battle within ourselves and our desires, Ameen. Ya Allah have mercy on our dearly loved brother and accept all our Dua's, Ameen!

Why does the pain not go away? The pain still cuts deep, the wounds still feel fresh...an everlasting impression you have left behind. I miss you and so many others do too..Did you know we loved you, cared for you, prayed for you, cryed for you...and still dream about you?
