LONDONERS have a last chance to see the Queen's wedding dress at Buckingham Palace in September.
A special exhibition to mark the 60th wedding anniversary of the Queen and Prince Philip is currently running at Buckingham Palace and has been extended until Friday, September 28.
The display includes archive film footage of the celebrations and preparations for the marriage of Princess Elizabeth to The Duke of Edinburgh at Westminster Abbey on November 20, 2007.
Her Majesty will be the first reigning British sovereign to reach the diamond wedding anniversary.
Outfits worn by principal members of the wedding party have been brought together for the first time since 1947 and the centrepiece is the dress and 13-foot bridal train designed by Norman Hartnell for Princess Elizabeth.
The exhibition in the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace is open daily from 9.45am to 6pm (last admission 3.45pm) until September 28.
Tickets are £15 for adults, over 60s and students £13.50, under 17s £8.50, under fives free. Advance tickets can be ordered online at www.royalcollection.org.uk or by calling 0207 766 7300.
