A man has been arrested for burglary and fraud concerning an 85-year-old woman.
Police were called to an address in South Hill Avenue, Harrow on August 3 at around 10.45am with reports of a handbag stolen from an elderly woman.
She told police she was followed into her house by man who stole her purse containing a bank card.
While police were on the scene the woman's bank called to say her card had been used at McDonald’s on Shaftesbury Circle.
A 47-year-old man was later arrested for burglary and fraud on Southdown Crescent.
He was arrested further when police learned he was wanted on recall to prison.
