WITH just under two months until race weekend, the Ealing Half Marathon has almost filled its 7,000 spaces.

The Ealing Half goes from strength to strength since the inaugural race in 2012, and this year it won a fifth trophy in the Best Half Marathon category at The Running Awards.

Sandra Courtney, the race director, said: “We are overwhelmed by the support of our runners and the community behind us.”

The seventh Ealing Half takes place on Sunday, September 30 and organisers are urging runners to sign up as soon as possible now.

Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer Research UK are the headline charities this year.

A total of 700 volunteers are needed to help stage the Family and Children’s Mini Mile (now sold out) and main event.

The Ealing Half starts and finishes in Lammas Park and is run on closed roads around the streets and parks of the borough.
