THIS weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 8-10) Ealing Broadway will host its fourth annual Buskathon, welcoming musicians from across the borough.

They will take to the stage in Town Square to busk back-to-back for charity.

Following the success of last year’s event, Ealing Broadway and west London festival group the Hanwell Hootie have scheduled non-stop live music from 3-7pm on Friday, noon-7pm on Saturday and noon-5pm on Sunday.

Shoppers and residents of Ealing alike are invited to enjoy free live music from more than 20 local acts featuring King Ralph, the Hanwell Ukulele Group and Voice 2018 contestant Jade Danielle Williams and her band the Du Bellows.

After raising just over £1,000 for charity last year, Ealing Broadway and the Hanwell Hootie are hoping for £1,500 for charities including The Rainbow Trust, The Log Cabin, Pieta House and the Ealing Soup Kitchen.

This year, Ealing Broadway’s Buskathon goes hand in hand with the installation of a giant piano keyboard, which centre visitors are invited to play for fun, throughout June.

Ealing Broadway will run a social media competition for people to share their best selfies, videos and boomerangs on the piano using the hashtag #ealingbroadwaypiano, for the chance to win prizes each week.
