CAKE and a card from the Queen made a 100th birthday unforgettable for Maud Quarrington.
The card from Her Majesty the Queen is sitting pride of place above her television so she can see it every day.
Mrs Quarrington, who lives at the Franklin House care home in Swan Road, said: "It's nice that she remembered my birthday."
The home held a special tea party for the 100-year-old resident on Saturday, August 11.
Lola Timothy, Maud's care nurse, said: "It was a lovely day, it went really, really well. Maud was aware that it was her birthday and was delighted with her card from the Queen, it really made her day."
