Harrow Council’s new leader is set to be announced at the annual full council meeting today.
The meeting, at which a new borough mayor will also be appointed, is the first since voters returned the new council on May 4.
Cllr Graham Henson, who was recently chosen as leader of the Harrow Labour Group, replacing Cllr Sachin Shah, is expected to take on the role of council leader.
If selected, he will indicate the make-up of the new council cabinet, as well as the names of those appointed to various committees.
The interim chief executive of Harrow Council, Tom Whiting, is also expected to confirm an extension to his tenure.
