Man, 51, arrested after woman's body found in Hayes
DETECTIVES are investigating the death of a woman at her home in Hayes.
A 51-year-old man went to a police station on Sunday, saying he had harmed a woman at an address in Gade Close, off Avondale Drive. Police arrived and found a woman in her 70s dead.
It is being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem will be held while formal identification awaits.

The man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death. The victim and the arrested man were known to each other.
