A man who was shot dead outside a Tube station has been named by police.

Leon Maxwell, 38, of Watford was found with a gunshot wound outside Queensbury station at around 9pm on May 1. He died at the scene an hour later.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

Crime scenes were set up in nearby Cumberland Road and Essoldo Way.

A 26-year-old man who was shot on the same night remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are trying to establish any link between the two men.

A murder investigation has been launched and forensic analysis including ballistic examination was conducted and CCTV footage is being examined.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
