WITH two weeks until the Michael Sobell Hospice Charity (MSHC) 40-mile On Your Bike challenge, more than 100 cyclists are already preparing for the event.
The challenge, on Sunday, May 20, will involve riders setting off from the hospice, based at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, and taking in picturesque areas including Denham, The Chalfonts, Chesham, Bovingdon and Chipperfield, with a water stop at the Boot Tavern.
Dave Newton, of West Drayton, who has taken on the challenge every year since 2012, said: “Michael Sobell Hospice looked after all our family while my mum, Marilyn, had cancer.

“It’s not only the patients they support, but families too.”
“I’m doing my bit to say thank-you to all the staff and help them carry on their fantastic work.”
