EALING Citizens, a non-political alliance of schools and faith institutions, is holding its election assembly tonight (18) at Twyford Church of England High School in Acton.
It will be addressing election candidates and asking they meet a set of Citizen Guarantees.
Jackie Ashmenall, of Christ the Saviour Church, will lead a call for more affordable housing including the creation of Ealing’s first Community Land Trust and the introduction of measures to tackle rogue landlords in the borough.
Borough council candidates attending include council Leader Julian Bell and leader of the Conservative group Gregory Stafford.

A group of students will build a symbolic house during the evening with the names of all those attending represented to demonstrate a commitment to delivering better housing and seeking commitments to work with them.
Father Justin Dodd, co-chair, said: "We have planned this assembly to highlight the issues that matter most to people living in the borough.
"One of the benefits of being a non-political grassroots broad-based network of community leaders means we holistically research and listen to what all corners of our neighbourhoods tell us they need and expect from their elected representatives."
The assembly will take place from 6.30-8.30 at the school in Twyford Crescent.
