EALING Jazz Festival has announced the first wave of performers to appear at this summer’s event, including Mobo Award-winning singer-songwriter Zara McFarlane.
The festival champions the best-established and emerging acts from the UK and around the world.
A mainstay of the jazz calendar for more than two decades, it is held in Walpole Park and will be take place this year on July 28-29, noon-10pm.
To bring a rousing end to the weekend, Sunday’s South Stage will be hosted by PizzaExpress Live, who have showcased some of the world’s greatest musicians in their renowned restaurants since 1976.

Fast becoming Britain’s foremost jazz vocalist, Zara McFarlane combines the intricacies of jazz with a deep soulfulness, fusing both with the rhythms of Jamaica.
Experimental jazz band Vels Trio will also be welcomed to the festival stage, alongside all-female jazz septet Nérija.
Other first wave artists include hip-hop-edged jazz band TriForce, tenor saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos, who will perform with the Nigel Price Quartet, and flautist Keith Waithe.

Advance tickets: £5 per day or £10 for the weekend (plus booking fees).
On-the-day tickets: £7 before 3pm, £10 after or £12 for the weekend.
