STAFF from Coca-Cola European Partners are taking to the streets to support the Great British Spring Clean – and Uxbridge was very much in their sights

A team of 20 from the European HQ in Uxbridge volunteered to collect litter around the Frays River in partnership with Thames21, an organisation that works with communities to improve rivers and canals for people and wildlife.

In total, the volunteers helped to collect 30 bags of waste in Uxbridge – with further events happening across the firm’s other sites in Morpeth, Edmonton, Nottingham, East Kilbride and Peterborough.

Holly Firmin, Community Partnerships Manager for CCEP, said: “I am proud to have the Uxbridge site involved in the Great British Spring Clean. It is so important for us as a business to make a difference to the local community. It is something I am passionate about.

“It was very encouraging to see so many of our employees taking part and I hope this will inspire others to take care of the environment in which they live and work.”
