Four finalists battled it out to win a year’s business support package in the final of a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style competition – but there was one clear victor.

This year’s winner of the Harrow Business Den competition was natural skin-care line couple, Danny and Tenesia Pascal, owners of Earth to Earth Organics.

The couple impressed the panel of judges and audience with their natural products pitch, claiming the first prize package consisting of cash and mentorship from experienced business people.

Cllr Shah: "Two ordinary people with a dream and the courage to pursue it."

Speaking about their win, Danny said: “What can I say; winning the Harrow Business Den competition has left us feeling overwhelmed, full of joy and very humbled.

“Having never run a business before, Tenesia and I are really looking forward to the experience and knowledge the mentoring will bring so that we have the tools to survive for the long run.”

Earth to Earth Organics first started in 2015 when the couple felt many skin-care brands were neither cost effective nor meeting their own needs. They had early success in helping to clear eczema of one of Danny’s cousins and at that point decided to develop their skin-care products into a business.

Leader of Harrow Council, Cllr Sachin Shah who opened the event, said: “It was a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of our Business Den competition this year.

“Our worthy winners embody everything that Harrow people are all about. They’re two ordinary people with a dream and the courage to pursue it. Congratulations to them and all our finalists.”

This was the fifth anniversary of the annual event and also featured Akshay Ruparelia, Britain’s youngest millionaire, from Harrow, and owner of Doorsteps, an online estate agency.
