EALING Summer Festivals has unveiled its full programme of six events for 2018 in the borough’s most idyllic parks.

Bringing people together from the local community and further afield, the festivals showcase exceptional home-grown and international talent from across the artistic spectrum. 

This year's programme includes Greenford Carnival (June 30), Ealing Beer Festival (July 11-15), Acton Carnival (July 14), Ealing Comedy Festival (July 19-27), Ealing Blues Festival (July 21-22) and Ealing Jazz Festival (July 28-29).

Former Fela Kuti drummer and Afro-beat pioneer Tony Allen will be bringing his percussive prowess to Ealing Jazz Festival.

Meanwhile, topping the bill at Ealing Blues Festival will be AC/D- inspired country-rock aficionados Hayseed Dixie.

Ealing Summer Festivals celebrate the borough’s rich cultural heritage, enhancing its reputation as a hotbed of musical and artistic talent.

Ealing has helped foster the careers of musicians such as The Rolling Stones and Dusty Springfield, comedians Julian Clary and Shappi Khorsandi and director Steve McQueen.

Cllr Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport, environment and leisure, said: “The anticipation is building for our most exciting year yet.”
