AN old motor dealership in Southall is to be transformed into affordable homes

Network Homes has signed its first agreement with Galliard to build 52 new apartments for shared ownership in Merrick Road.

They will be on the site of an old Honda dealership and provide much homes for those looking to get on the housing ladder.

The apartments, due to be completed in July 2020, will be close to Southall Crossrail station, which will begin running services to central London (17 minutes) and Heathrow (eight minutes) from May this year.

Southall is identified as a key opportunity area for regeneration by both Ealing Council and the Greater London Authority.

The project is one of a number of schemes by Network Homes will in Southall and Ealing as part of a strategic partnership with the Greater London Authority to deliver 1,752 affordable homes in London by March 2021.
