A nursery has been celebrating after it was ranked as ‘Good’ for the fourth time in a row following its latest Ofsted inspection.

Boys and Girls Nursery, in The Broadway, Stanmore, was praised for its “highly effective” settling-in process and the bonds created between the staff and the children.

Inspectors noted the creative methods of learning in place at the nursery and highlighted the children’s opportunities to flourish through confidence and independence.

Director Natasha Kirby said: “I couldn’t be prouder of my team and all that they achieved in 2017.

“To finish the year with our fourth amazing Ofsted report is just amazing and I’m delighted that the team have been recognised for the high standard of care and learning they provide every day – they truly are experts in childcare.”

Boys and Girls, which has been operating for ten years, was deemed ‘Good’ in areas of leadership and management, teaching, learning and assessment, and outcomes for children.

It was considered ‘Outstanding’ for personal development, behaviour and welfare.

The report noted how, in order to be graded as ‘Outstanding’ overall, staff could consider gathering information from parents about what children learn at home. This, it explained, would enable it to develop its assessments accordingly.
