A NEW infant support group for mums in the area is opening at Northolt Leisure Centre.

The first session will be on January 26 and is free to attend. The group will operate every Friday from 9am-noon.

Staff at the centre will be helping new mums in a range of different ways. From 9-9.50am, there will be an infant feeding group. Attendees will get support on breast and bottle feeding from an adviser.

From 9.50-10.20am, mums will have the opportunity to take part in an adapted group exercise class. A qualified post-natal exercise instructor will be leading the session to help mums build their confidence in a stretch and tone session.

Finally, from 10.20am onwards, there will be an Active Antz session. This includes soft play and a bouncy castle.

Northolt Leisure Centre is operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Ealing Council.

General Manager Michael Twiggins said: “Becoming a mum can be a daunting experience so this a great opportunity to gain some advice, as well as meet other mums going through a similar experience in the area.”

The first session will be free and will then cost £5. For more information, call the centre on 020 8423 7436 or email ealingcommunity@everyoneactive.com
