A school has an extra £1,000 to spend after cashing in on a public sector loyalty scheme.

Priestmead Primary School, in Hartford Avenue, Harrow, benefitted from the YPO ‘Share of Profits’ programme, which rewards schools based on the amount they spend with them.

It was handed a £980.86 bonus, which it will reinvest into resources and its future development.

YPO managing director Simon Hill said: “With budgets at breaking point, schools are facing the persistent challenge of balancing providing an exceptional education with the pressures of keeping costs low.

“We’re delighted to play a part in helping schools that regularly buy equipment and resources from us by offering them a share of our profits through our longstanding loyalty scheme.

“Through this scheme, we’re able to offer a significant bonus to schools, which enables teachers to allocate funds into reinvestment projects they think would benefit their pupils the most.”

Priestmead head teacher Sash Hamidi said the vouchers provided by YPO had been “invaluable” to the school and that it was “delighted” to be involved in the loyalty scheme.
