Several health centres and clinics are set for major building upgrades as NHS Property Service handed out its latest contract.
The Belmont Health Centre, in Kenton Lane, will undergo a roof replacement worth £180,000 as part of the project, which will be carried out by design agency McBains.
It has already completed a number of schemes in the health sector, as well as significant work in care homes across the UK.
“This contract will mean a number of primary health facilities across the capital will be given a new lease of life and improve services for patients,” said Anthony Coumidis, director public sector head at the group.
“McBains has already worked on a raft of public sector projects and has expertise in delivering efficiency savings, in particular in terms of sustainable development, which will help increase public sector savings.”
Work on the health centre roof will be completed by March 2018.
