THE borough of Ealing has had 21 green flags for its parks and open spaces, including Acton Green Common and Acton Park, to retaining its reputation as one of the greenest boroughs in London.

And joint venture partners Countryside and L&Q have added to the area’s abundant spaces with the opening of West Park at Acton Gardens, the area’s latest new neighbourhood.

West Park is the first of four parks planned for the development. Many of the homes in the latest phases, West Park Terrace and West Park Gate, have views overlooking the new park. The public space has mature trees and a play area.

Expected to be completed in 2026, Acton Gardens is a £600m project, creating 2,500 new homes on 52 acres of land. The scheme will connect to surrounding neighbourhoods through a range of new walking routes.

A central square will be at the heart of it, offering a supermarket, shops, doctors, dentist surgery, nursery and youth club.

The latest phase of 72 homes is at West Park Gate, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, ground floor duplexes and two-storey penthouses, built around a central courtyard.

Acton Gardens is a short walk from Acton Town underground station and is close to Acton main line Station, which will benefit from Crossrail when it opens in 2019.

Prices for a one-bedroom apartment at Acton Gardens start from £473,000. For more information, visit www.actongardens.co.uk or call 020 8993 6923.
