A MOTHER has organised a teddy bears’ picnic in the park for toddlers and babies, an event that she describes as “Mummy Tinder”.
Schoolteacher Farzeen Khan conceived the idea after working with an app called ‘Mush’, which helps mums meet other mums with children the same age.
She has called on mothers in Kingsbury and the surrounding areas to meet at Roe Green Park for an afternoon of fun, food and good company.
“I’ve recently moved back to London and this is a nice way for mums to meet other mums and make some new friends,” she said.
“Most people don’t know each other and it’s a bit like Tinder for mums. It’s for anyone – lonely mums, people who might have suffered post-natal depression or people who fancy a day out.”
She explained how balloons and bunting will create a festival atmosphere and how there will be a number of activities, such as face painting and singing, on offer.
All that’s required is something for the mothers and their child or children to sit on and a packed lunch.
The Babies and Toddlers Teddy Bears Picnic in Roe Green Park is on 29 July from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
