Ealing will be hosting an Art Trail later this year and locals are being invited to take part.

The event, organized by Borough of Ealing Art Trail, will take place in September 8–10 and then again from the 15–17.

An art trail is an event where local artists open their homes, studios or other local venues to exhibit their work.

Ealing Broadway Councillor Seema Kumar, who is involved in supporting BEAT said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for locals to showcase their talents.

“It is also a wonderful addition to the creative arts scene in Ealing.

“BEAT are working hard to make the event successful.

“My hope is to make it bigger and bigger and I am confident about that.”

BEAT began in 2015 as a group of like-minded artists from several local Ealing-based art groups.

Their aim was to create a local platform for local artists to showcase their work to the public through the medium of an annual Art Trail.

BEAT successfully launched their first Art Trail event in 2016.

160 artists across 54 venues in the borough attended.

The event welcomed thousands of visitors who purchased work from local artists.

BEAT wants to encourage local artists and their passion for creating.

Anyone living, working or studying in the Borough of Ealing may apply to join BEAT and the Art Trail.

Participation in the open studios event is non-selective and anyone from any cultural, professional and ability background is welcome to apply.

Artwork can range from painting, printing textiles, sculpture, mosaics, metal work, photography, ceramics, jewellery and woodwork.

A map will be provided for the general public to find where they can visit around the Borough to see the exhibitions.
