ACS Hillingdon International School welcomed a world-renowned Irish story-teller to deliver a series of captivating performances and workshops as part of the school’s Artist in Residence programme.

Recognised for his energetic and animated style of storytelling, Niall de Burca performed traditional folk tales, as well as fairy tales from other cultures, to Hillingdon students aged between four and 16.

His lively performances to both teachers and students aimed to demonstrate the cultural importance of storytelling.

Peggy Travers, Lower School Librarian at ACS Hillingdon said: “Niall is a fantastic and incredibly entertaining storyteller.

“Students come away from his workshops and performances feeling creative and inspired to harness the storyteller within themselves.”

Pupils also participated in storytelling and performance workshops throughout the two-day visit, allowing them to discuss ideas with Niall and work interactively with him.
