A Harrow pupil is in shock after winning a receiving a prestigious Cambridge University award following her outstanding GSCE results.
Bidoor Alzaidy who attends Harrow High School said she couldn’t believe it when she received ten A* grades and one A grade at GSCE level this summer.
Her results did not go unnoticed and in October this year, she was entered into Cambridge University’s Prestigious 'Christ’s College GCSE Award for high achieving learners in Harrow and Southwark'. Ms Alzaidy was the only candidate who achieved an A grade or above in all thirteen subjects, from the 150 entries in Harrow and Southwark.
She was also invited to the university where she received her prize from Dr Emily Tomlinson, the admissions tutor of Christ’s College.
Harrow High School's gifted & talented co-ordinator, Sufiur Wahid said: “I realised Bidoor had a real chance of winning this prestigious prize, due to her tremendous results and it just goes to show how hard work and determination really pays-off.”
