intu Uxbridge was home to plenty of free, fun activities this weekend as they celebrated the festive season with residents as part of The Uxbridge Christmas Parade.

Sunday, November 27 was the day of celebrations, with plenty of entertainment for shoppers at intu Uxbridge ahead of the parade and light switch on.

Young shoppers enjoyed Christmas craft activities with Holly the Elf in The Piazza, as well as walkabout acts in the centre and festive music.

The parade kicked off at 3.30pm, heading through the high street into intu Uxbridge greeting shoppers and residents before ending in the town centre, with the Christmas Lights switched on by The Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon and Pauline and Charlie Quirke.

Natasha House, intu Uxbridge marketing manager, said: “It was fantastic to be a part of the start of Christmas festivities in Uxbridge this weekend.

“There’s plenty more fun arriving at intu Uxbridge as our Christmas Experience opens this weekend, plus late night shopping and much more.”

The Christmas Experience opens at intu Uxbridge on Saturday, December 3, with Adventurer passports to take part available from the Customer Services desk in-centre for just £4 per child (children under 2 free), with all monies split between Rainbow Trust and Cardiac Risk in the Young.

Young shoppers can take part in the fun at each of the festive zones, before arriving at Elf Passport Control at the Gingerbread House to meet Santa and take home a free gift.

intu Uxbridge is also extending their opening hours this festive season so every gift can be purchased in time for the big day. Parking is just £1 from 6pm to 1am Monday to Saturday too, so there’s plenty of time for shopping, dining and catching the latest film.
