Those who like a tipple are in for a treat as wine tasting classes comes to North London.

Heidi Cullip recently acquired the North London Wine School, an independent wine school offering “fun, informal” tastings and courses in Camden Square.

At the school, in Camden Square, Heidi, who used to work in marketing, will provide one-evening, four-week and eight-week courses, as well as one-off Saturdays for all levels of knowledge and areas of interest.

Heidi will offer specialist tastings for private parties and corporate events.

She said: “North London Wine School is a very natural fit for me – I love sharing my knowledge and it’s great to see people expanding their choices and being more confident about the wines they buy.

“Some people are quite nervous about wine, as they think it’s meant to be serious, so it’s really great to get people learning in a relaxed and friendly environment.”

North London Wine School is part of the Local Wine School network, a group of independent wine schools across the country, recently awarded the Riedel WSET Educator of the Year Award.

Whether you know your Merlot from your Malbec or not, all North Londoners are welcome at the sessions for a sniff and a glug of some grape.

Heidi’s first scheduled events will be an ‘Introduction to Wine’ evening tasting tonight (October 20), followed by a ‘Christmas Sparkling Wines & Champagne’ tasting event on Thursday November 17.

Tickets for the tastings are available at www.northlondonwineschool.com.
