Young cadets raised hundreds of pounds for the armed forces with a bucket collection at a Pinner supermarket.
Members of the Harrow Squadron Air Training Corps helped to collect a commendable £336 at the Tesco store on Ash Hill Drive as part of Armed Forces Day in June.
Chairman Chris Mote said: “I was delighted that the cadets and leaders gave up their time to help collect a super amount for ABF The Soldier’s Charity, and also a big thank you to the shoppers who donated.”
ABF The Solder’s Charity gives a lifetime of support to soldiers and former soldiers from the British Army, and their immediate families, when they are in need.
The charity makes grants to individuals through their regiments and corps, and support a wide range of specialist charities that sustain the British Army both at home and abroad.
