EALING Times reporter David Doyle completed a gruelling day of training with his team mates as they prepared themselves for the London Triathlon.
Team Ealing, which also includes marketing firm managing director William Berry and personal trainers Emma Parson and Alex Pokorska, had a day of fitness at Dulwich College on Sunday to get in shape for the August event.
The team, which is hoping to raise £10,000 for Ulster Cancer, came though the day despite being plagued with injury setbacks.
William, 30, who was struggling with a knee injury on the day, said: "I had a freak dancing accident which made it a bit more difficult to get the most out of the day.
"But it was fantastic to meet up with the team and it really brought home that we are really doing this.
"It's going to be a challenge, especially the swimming event, but the whole team is excited about the chance to raise £10,000 for such a worthy cause."
During the day, which involved hour-and-a-half sessions of running, swimming and cycling training, the team were also given advice by London Triathlon 2003 champion Richard Allen.
But Team Ealing is still looking for a fifth member to join them on the challenge.
The fifth person, who will get free membership and use of the facilities at Eden Fitness Gym in Uxbridge Road, Ealing, up until the competition, should call Lisa Mundy at Eden Fitness on 0845 009 5000.
