TESCO is urging Ealing people to donate generously during its Neighbourhood Food Collection at its Hoover Building superstore in Perivale until Saturday.
Working with partner charities The Trussell Trust and FareShare, it aims to provide at least four million meals to people in need this summer.
The last collection, in December, involved hundreds of stores across London and contributed 268,868 meals in total, including a 30 per cent ‘top-up’ on all donations by Tesco.
Eni Martins, London Community Manager, said: “It’s inspiring that our customers in Ealing are so generous and give so much to help people in food poverty.
“At Tesco, we want to play our part, too, which is why we continue to add an extra 30 per cent to donations.
Tesco is calling for customers to go into the store and donate food, or to contact the charities and volunteer.
