DOZENS of people of all ages took part in free bike rides hosted by Ealing Council on Sunday.
Led by experienced marshals, 123 cyclists took part in the Ticket to Ride events, setting off from Northala Fields and Brent Lodge Park in Hanwell.
The routes took cyclists along roads, the canal towpath and through parks.
This year’s event covered new routes, taking in some of the scenery to the north and west of the borough in Northolt, Greenford and Southall – areas where fewer people cycle.
Council leader Julian Bell and cabinet member for transport Bassam Mahfouz were among those taking part.
Cllr Mahfouz said: “Despite a bit of rain in the afternoon it was great to see so many people turn out.
“We’re keen to help people enjoy this fantastic, healthy and fun form of transport and we are also supporting a series of guided rides for women this summer, which I’m sure will prove equally popular.”
