ALEC REED Academy in Northolt received positive grades on all fronts in its latest Ofsted report.

Inspectors judged the academy as ‘good’ – grade 2 – in all six of the criteria, which ranged from quality of teaching to achievement of pupils.

The report is an improvement on its last inspection in April 2013, when it was given a grade 3 mark.

“It has been a tremendous achievement. I am very proud of all of our students and staff,” said academy CEO and principal Gary Lobbett.

“This success is the result of hard work and dedication by staff and governors and the strong support we receive from parents and local community.”

The grading could mean the academy will not be inspected for another five years.

Ofsted rates schools on a four-point scale with ‘1’ being outstanding and ‘4’ inadequate.

Alec Reed Academy has 1,420 pupils aged 3-19.
