FOR Art’s Sake, the Ealing gallery, is hosting a joint exhibition by contemporary London printmakers on Friday, June 5.

The exhibition will include more than 80 prints by Gail Brodholt and Louise Davies, including Gail’s new print Queen of The Suburbs, featuring Ealing Common tube station, which was specially created for the exhibition.

For Art’s Sake owner Brian Davis said: ““London can sometimes be associated with grey skies and the relentless slog of the daily commute. This exhibition certainly challenges that view.

“Colour bursts out of these prints and you find yourself falling in love with London again.”

Louise Davies’ prints are primarily concerned with evoking locations from childhood memories, using strong colouring and line drawing to define architectural and natural forms.

The month-long exhibition is free to visitors and all works are available for sale.

For Art’s Sake opened at 45 Bond Street in Ealing Broadway in 1984.
