A MAN has been jailed after being caught in possession of cocaine following a routine stop in Acton.
Kristian Gecaj, 21, of Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, possessing an offensive weapon and using a vehicle with no insurance and without a licence.
He wassentenced to two years and eight months.
In April, police in Acton were carrying out an operation on illegal road use when they stopped a car in Creswick Road.
The occupants became extremely agitated and evasive on being questioned and officers noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from the car.
The car and those inside were searched and Gecaj was found to be in possession of a lock knife and a large quantity of class A drugs.
A further search revealed he had a quantity of cash on him and a set of mini electronic weighing scales.
The drugs were analysed and turned out to be 127.5g of cocaine.
