IN a rare show of unity, the Commons and the Lords came together in a single team for this year's Rehab Parliamentary Pancake Race.
The event, in Victoria Tower Gardens, Westminster, was over in almost the same time it takes to cook a pancake - four minutes and 12 seconds - with the media team taking the honours.
Ealing North MP Stephen Pound was in the vanquished Parliament team.
Sophy Ridge, of Sky News, the media team captain, said: "The weeks of early-morning flipping training, the strict diet of pancakes and lemon-only drinks have finally paid off."
The race was in support of Rehab, which raises awareness of the needs of disabled people and others who are marginalised.
