THE heart of Ealing Broadway is set to be transformed as plans for its future are unveiled next week.
The proposals, to be revealed on Thursday, include a new pedestrian route between Ealing Broadway station and The Broadway lined with a wealth of new shops, cafes plus around 200 homes.
Most of the site was bought by investors Benson Elliot at the end of 2012, and, since then, the firm has transformed the former Arcadia shopping centre into 1-8 The Broadway, introducing TX Maxx, McDonald’s and Morrisons into the area.
Peter Cornforth, retail director, said: “We want to continue the rejuvenation of this hugely important gateway into Ealing Broadway.”
“We are creating somewhere which will be a wonderful new destination, which is also a distinct part of the town centre.”
Public consultation will take place from Thursday-Saturday, January 29-31 at 7a The Broadway (former KFH estate agents).
The planning application is expected to be submitted to Ealing Council later this year.
