A TOTAL of 23 budding film-makers stepped out on the red carpet to celebrate the premiere of their five self-made films.

The screening, at the Rich Mix Arts Centre, was the culmination of three months’ hard work for students, aged 16-19, who produced the films with help from the BFI Film Academy and Eastside Educational Trust.

The films: Persistence, Leo, One More Shot, Broadway: Behind the Market and Seeing Red, provided unique perspectives on the theme of home.

Student Babs Adesanya, 18, of Northolt, said: “Seeing other people watch the film I had made was quite jarring. I was quite nervous, as even I didn’t know what it would look like on the big screen.”

The premiere was attended by an audience of industry professionals, as well as students’ family and friends.
