A MAN who decapitated his wife in a brutal attack has pleaded guilty to her murder.
Naveed Ahmed, 41, admitted killing the mother of their two young children, Tahira, 28, in May 2014.
He pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey on Monda.
Police were called to the family home in Merton Avenue, Northolt, following reports of a disturbance.
Ahmed was arrested after fleeing the house and was stopped by police in nearby Pilgrims Close.
They noticed he had blood stains on his coat and was sweating heavily.
A post-mortem revealed Mrs Ahmed received multiple injuries. The cause of death was determined as head and neck injuries.
Ahmed initially pleaded not, but today changed his plea.
He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on January 28 at the Old Bailey.
