EALING is the first London borough to instal solar-powered LED cycle path lights.
Seven of these Falcopathfinder lights were installed in Ridding Lane, Greenford, in December.
Already popular throughout Scandinavia and Europe, the lights are resistant to heavy vehicles, such as lorries, gritters and road sweepers.
As it harnesses the sun’s energy to power the lights, the system is completely wireless and self-sufficient.
The lights are also easy to replace without the need to carry out road repairs.
