Julian Gallant, artistic director, said: “Our festival celebrates the deep human and cultural heritage shared by Britain and Poland.”

As before, the festival is organised by an independent charitable trust set up by residents and Angie Bray MP and is supported by more than 20 local groups and businesses.

Patrick Chapman, chairman of the trust said: “We are proud to be able to bring this new programme to the borough and to help young musicians and artists through our scholarships.”
