A PROJECT to regenerate an abandoned green space in Southall can go ahead, thanks to a funding boost from the Veolia Environmental Trust.
It awarded the environmental improvement charity, A Rocha UK, a grant of £6,789 to pay for improvements at the Wolf Fields site in Norwood Road.
The charity is regenerating the green space and plans to create an organic allotment, a sensory gardens and a pond.
A Rocha’s head of fund-raising, Lisa Ostenson, said: “The whole community will benefit from the improvements.
"They will be able to relax, learn about growing, volunteer and have the space reclaimed for positive community action rather than anti-social behaviour.”
