PEOPLE from across Ealing are invited to join a Dementia Friends information session on November 25.
The one-hour session, starting at 5pm at The Grange Care Home, Southall, is part of the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends programme.
It’s an initiative launched in February 2013 to help people understand what it might be like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.
The Alzheimer’s Society is aiming to have one million Dementia Friends by next year, to help improve the lives of 670,000 people currently living with the condition.
Stephanie McKenzie, who is hosting the session, said: “I signed up to be a Dementia Friends Champion because I know how hard it is for people living with dementia.
“I signed up through the website and attended a one-day training course on how to deliver the sessions. I’m so proud to be part of a growing network of people helping to create dementia-friendly communities across England.”
The Grange Care Home is at , 2 Adrienne Avenue, Southall UB1 2QW.
