SHOPPERS in Hayes and Southall are promised a new shopping experience following renovation of the Tesco Extra store at Bull’s Bridge.
Existing departments, including world foods and the halal counter, have been revamped to offer more products, while new departments, such as a bakery, have been added.
The store is having an official relaunch ceremony next Monday, October 6, including the opening of a community space, to offer groups and charities a free place to meet, host events, run workshops, training courses or fitness sessions.
Store manager Steve Hall said: “We’re thrilled to have this space and hope it will allow us to build relationships with a variety of groups and organisations.”
Other new features at the store include a fresh pizza counter and ‘scan as you shop’ checkouts.
As part of the relaunch celebrations, Southall Community Alliance will be receiving a £500 donation.
Store opening hours are 0.01am Monday to midnight on Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.
