EALING Cricket Club all-rounders Naz Gauri, 32, and Robert Haxby, 30, are part of the MCC squad on a two-week tour of Botswana.
Managed by former Surrey all-rounder Graham Monkhouse, the party departed for the capital, Garborone, on Tuesday.
They will play six limited-overs matches against the Botswana national side. The first is a 20-over clash at the BCA Oval today. There will then be two more T20s and three 50-over matches.
Haxby has been at Ealing since he was a colt and formerly played for Middlesex juniors. Gauri has been with the club since he was 15.
MCC President Mike Gatting said: “MCC is always keen to send the strongest possible squads on overseas tours and we’ve got a talented group of players in Botswana.”
The players will also deliver coaching sessions to school children.
